About Susana Cerezuela
Painting sits at the core of what I do, though a project will often lead me naturally into sculpture and installation. Making things with my hands is how I process the emotions that don’t fit neatly into language, such as grief, healing and fear.

My process is an ongoing fight between control and letting go. I work intuitively, reacting to layered textures, accidental marks, and unexpected shifts rather than forcing a predetermined outcome. This tension on the surface directly mirrors the themes I explore: the vulnerability of living through change, and the delicate practice of accepting what cannot be fully mastered.

By blending human and natural forms, I create figures that are caught between worlds, never entirely one thing or another.
