Wind and Metal

'As I worked, I felt tempted to leave it there, curious to see how it would interact with the environment. How time, weather, and the elements might transform it. Would animals or insects make it part of their habitat? I also wondered how people passing by would react. Would they notice it? Ignore it? See it as art, or as an intrusion? As the wind passed through, the metallic bits chimed softly. Their sound mixed with the birdsongs and the wind, creating a peaceful atmosphere - almost like a meditation space. The entire process felt almost ritualistic, invading a natural space, drilling holes into a tree, altering the landscape. When I finally removed it, I saw the marks I had left behind. The tree was bleeding sap. It was an interesting interaction, a reminder of how even the smallest action can leave a lasting impact on both nature and those who encounter it.' Susana Cerezuela
